Production Designer – Yago

As Production Designer for Yago, I was responsible for crafting the visual world of this high-stakes thriller—a bold reimagining of The Count of Monte Cristo set in contemporary Mexico. My role was to translate the series’ dark, psychological tone into physical spaces that supported the story’s tension, emotional depth, and cinematic feel. From gritty urban environments to opulent interiors, every set was designed to reflect the duality of revenge and identity central to the plot. I worked closely with the director, costume and lighting teams to ensure a cohesive visual narrative, elevating the production to stand apart from traditional telenovelas. Yago challenged the boundaries of Mexican television at the time, and being part of that shift as a visual storyteller was one of the most creatively fulfilling experiences of my career.
