Production Designer – Visual Storytelling for Television

For ten years, I worked as a Production Designer and Art Director at Televisa/Univision, leading the visual storytelling of some of the most-watched shows in Spanish-language television. My role was to shape the creative vision from the ground up—designing sets, coordinating costume design, selecting props, and overseeing every visual detail to bring each production to life. I collaborated closely with directors and producers, managing large-scale creative teams (sometimes over 300 people) and multimillion-dollar budgets. I was responsible for translating scripts into immersive visual experiences, while aligning with the show’s tone, narrative, and audience expectations. Some of the productions I helped shape include Te Acuerdas de Mí, La Usurpadora, Yago, Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse, and Amores Verdaderos. Each project required balancing creativity with logistics, leading both the design process and on-set execution to deliver results that were visually compelling and culturally relevant.
