Production Designer - La Usurpadora

As the production designer for La Usurpadora — a high-profile reboot of the iconic telenovela, produced for Univision and Prime Video — I was responsible for crafting a sophisticated visual universe that balanced legacy and innovation. One of the most ambitious challenges was designing and building the presidential mansion set, inspired by Los Pinos, entirely within Televisa’s Foro 15 studios. I also led the transformation of real locations in Playa del Carmen and Tepoztlán into believable international destinations like Bora Bora, adding cinematic depth and richness to the storytelling. Every environment was carefully conceived to elevate the drama, reflect character psychology, and support the series' bold, contemporary take on a beloved classic.
